Apple Developer License Guide — Step-by-Step Setup

To publish your branded podcast app under your name in the Apple App Store, you need your own Apple Developer account. Apple charges $99/year directly. We walk you through every step.

Why You Need Your Own Account

Your app is published under your name and your brand — not ours. That means your developer account owns the listing, your users see your name, and you control the app going forward.

Step-by-Step Enrollment

  1. Get a D-U-N-S Number — If enrolling as an organization, apply for a free D-U-N-S number from Dun & Bradstreet. Allow up to 5 business days for approval.
  2. Create or use an Apple ID — Use your business email to create a new Apple ID, or use an existing one.
  3. Start enrollment at developer.apple.com/enroll — Choose "Enroll as an Organization" or "Individual" depending on your situation.
  4. Complete the application — Fill in your legal entity name, D-U-N-S number (if organization), and contact information.
  5. Pay the $99/year fee — Apple charges this directly. It renews annually to keep your app active in the App Store.
  6. Wait for approval — Apple reviews organization enrollments, typically within 2–5 business days.
  7. Invite Your Podcast App as App Manager — In App Store Connect, go to Users & Access and invite our team with the App Manager role so we can submit and manage builds on your behalf.
